One interesting week news is that Pluto isn’t a planet anymore. It is now called Dwarf Planet. But what it have to do with technology? Well, while in Wikipedia, the article of the ex-planet was modified some hours after the official announcement made by IAU, normal school books will only be updated just in… 2008.

If you change your computer date to 24/08 you will realise some change on the image shown on top of the program. And see what most Gtalk users will see tomorrow.
It will be something like this:

Well, I love Gtalk and have used it for some months now. And One thing I can tell, it’s way better then MSN, much more simple and efficient.
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOOGLE TALK!
Googles Gmail just made one nice update. Now it has a mp3 player built-in. So now when you receiver a .mp3 file in your email, you can listen to it before download. This is very useful for those who send/receive a lot of mp3.

Washington: Scientists are working to create a ultra-dense storage systems for computers and electronics. If the system works, it would enable storage of density of more than 100,000 terabits per cubic centimetre i.e. a device the size of an iPod nano could hold enough MP3 music to play for 300,000 years without repeating a song or enough DVD quality video to play movies for 10,000 years without repetition.
Working now…
It seams that now google want that people insert google videos into people’s websites. They’ve changed some of the codes, and now that old How-To I’ve made isn’t working anymore :/.
They’ve added to the google video an option to add the video to your website, giving the HTML code. Finally that, maybe they just got tired of people finding different ways to embedded them to websites.
But now it seams that google video is OFF, when you try to open http://video.google.com/, it automatically redirects to google website.
How long it will be down, hope not much! ![]()
See you folks…
Some weeks ago, I went to a small lan party in a friend’s house, was very nice. But the thing was this, I couldn’t get any place to sleep, so when everyone was sleeping, I was watching X-files… hehehe, but anyway. In the second morning (everyone with a damn fuc*ing sleepy face), some one opens the door, a guy holding a video camera. We were on a tv program… called Patrola (Patrol), Teens program.
It’s in portuguese, and I’m too laze to translate, but if you wanna watch it:
Eduardo just sent me this print-screen, quite funny!!!
Tootles

When it seems that the possibilities are depleted when talking about new features and variations, the manufacturers try to invent something different and it is what Revoltec made with the Fan LightWriter. Kinda innovative, this Fan shows the temperature using Led’s that when the fan is working, it makes texts and effects. Very cool!!

We have been looking at the ecosystem growing around VIA’s ITX and Nano-ITX platforms and we’ve just discovered what has to be the smallest PSU around.
The picoPSU, by MiniBox, is barely the size of an ATX connector. It’s 120W, and has a couple of molex connectors and a floppy connector, as well as an input jack for mains power.
It’s designed for use in embedded systems where space is at a premium. It’s 100% silent, has a lack of messy cables and provides enough power to keep a Pentium M or Via C3 processor juiced up, depending on the other peripherals in the system.
